2-Day PROFICIENCY IN SURVIVAL CRAFT restricted
This 2-day course is meets during the last two days of our Able Seaman course or as needed to meet our mariner’s needs.
Students successfully completing New England Maritime’s (2-Day) 16 1/4 hour Survival Craft restricted course will satisfy the:
1. written “Survival Craft” examination requirements for any endorsement as Able Seaman restricted to vessels without lifeboats; AND
2. training requirements of the STCW Code restricted to service on vessels that are not equipped with lifeboats provided that they have also satisfied the requirements for Personal Survival Techniques and Elementary First Aid. (courses available at New England Maritime STCW Basic Safety Training)

Cancellation Policy: Deposits are refundable if written cancellation is received more than 14 days prior to course start date, less an administration fee of $50.00 and the cost of any books. Cancellations made 14 days or less from the course date will forfeit full deposit and cost of any books. A student requesting a move to a future class will be assessed a $50 fee and cancellation policy will remain in effect as of original class date. A full refund if class size minimum is not met.
